Sorry for being gone for so long! School.  Has.  Been.  KILLING. Me.
I'm in art school right now, as a Sculpture and Installation major.  I'm not used to the workload amount, and the ebb and flow nature of schoolwork.  Back when I studied Biology, you could just sit down, memorize stuff, and ace an exam.  Here, everything is subjective and it all depends on how the teacher feels about you and/or your art.  So... yeah.  It's tough, but I'm gonna get by.

On another note, I just finished D-TAC, which is our annual winter convention here in my city.  I not only had a blast at the convention, I met some really awesome people and sold a lot of my stuff.  I'm just giving a really special thanks to anyone and everyone who stopped by my table, especially those who took my cards and looked me up here!  It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you, and having conversations with you guys.  I also always love hearing that people like my artwork and the things that I make.  It's the smiles and compliments that you guys gave me that keep me doing what I love without regret! So thanks a bajillion!

Most of my keys are sold, and the ones that aren't are going to start being listed online.  I'll post a link to my etsy as soon as they're posted and put up.  If you're interested in buying anything, go check it out.  Just a note: My prices will always be a little cheaper in person, because I'm willing to negotiate with them when I'm speaking to someone face-to-face.  Alas, if you live in the GTA, I fully suggest that you go to a con to see me instead of ordering online.  I also do commissions, which I can bring to a con if you'd like to pick it up there!

So... thanks everyone for stopping by!  Just needed to let you know that I'm alive and well, and come Friday, I will finally be stress-free! Good luck on exams for those who have them.  You can do it!

Someone's been quite the busy beaver!  I've spent the past couple of days making keys.  A lot of keys.  ALL of the keys!  I've gone through two rolls of solder and used up almost all of my materials!  When you guys see all the updates over the next few days, now you'll know why.

I'm a little nervous, because next weekend is Genre Con.  Unfortunately, one of the genres not included in this convention is anime, so I'm thinking my adorable plushies and pony stuff probably won't sell.  That's why I've been making keys like crazy.  And I have a ton of schoolwork, to boot.  So, yeah, convention, less than a week, not enough merchandise, need of money and midterms have made me very busy and very stressed.

But there is good news!  Con G has changed they way that they accept artists: they now look at a portfolio to see if you qualify to get a table.  And I qualified!  So I will have a table there in February, and hopefully it'll be just as awesome as Con Bravo!  In addition to Genre Con and Con G, I will also be appearing at Toronto Comic Con and December Toronto Anime Convention.  If anyone is in the GTA, you should come by and see my stuff.  I love when people say hi!

So... yeah!  Once this week is finished, I'll either be rich and happy, or broke and miserable.  Wish me luck!

So, today I had Julian :iconyaoifanboy-sama: come over with his fancy shmancy camera, and help me get good-quality pics of some of my stuff!  Yay!  Now I have some great pictures of some of my ponies, as well as a few new things that I've never mentioned before.
I recently purchased a mini blow-torch, at the suggestion of a good friend of mine, which resulted in a lot of fire and a huge smile on my face.  I've always been interested in soldering due to my love of robotics, but I've never really soldered anything but electronics before.  I just meshed together some stuff that I had lying around with some stuff that I bought at a local beading supply store, and out popped my keys!

To anyone living in Ontario, there is a convention coming up in Guelph called Genre Con.  I highly suggest you check it out if you can, because I'm gonna be there!  It's the first year running, and I have some serious doubts about how the convention's gonna turn out, but I'm using this opportunity to get my professional name out there and to start making some moolah.  This is where I'm debuting my keys, ranging, I think, from $10-$20, depending, of course, on how much the materials were for the specific key, and how long it took to make.  So, cross your fingers and wish me luck!

Also, if you see a crazy influx of deviations coming from my corner of the world, now you know why!  I'm going to try posting as many pics of my stuff as I can, because my business cards have my deviantart page on them.  I figure I might as well make it look nice in case people want to see what kind of stuff Geek @ <3 makes.

Well, here's hoping everything goes well!  Until next time,
Argon

SO! I just finished selling some plushies at Con Bravo! It was a ton of fun, and I was highly successful, having the perfect weekend all in all!  I want to be able to post my pony pics online, but I realized that I forgot to take good quality pics of them before they were sold. :( So you will have to deal with cruddy blackberry images. Woohoo!

Also, I've decided on a foolproof method for internet fame!
Step 1: Make my Katniss Dress for FanExpo.
Step 2: POST PICS ONLINE.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: PROFIT!

Here's hoping that getting my name out on the internet will make sales go up! Wish me luck!

So, I suck at everything.  I haven't really started much on commissions (Although I do have the fabric for most of them now), and I haven't uploaded any pictures to DA in, well, a while.  So here I am, apologizing for my laziness.  I promise to upload pictures soon.  I have a nifty little steampunk gun, and adorable plushie version of agent 300 and some Dr Who goodness that should be posted at some point in the near future.  Expect adorable things, because that's basically all I do these days.  Siiigh.  Why can't I just draw like a real artist and/or make some beautiful works.  Why must I always be obsessed with adorable fanart?!

Anyway.  Here's hoping I can get my Katniss dress done in the near future.  I have this ongoing fear that someone on DA is going to come up with their own beautiful Katniss dress design, and my dress will make people think "Oooh, you just copied her".  I am, however, using all my own patterns and NOT using references of any sort.  Hopefully that will ensure that my dress is original and unique.  That's what I really wanted to go for in terms of my Katniss dress.  As well, one of my dresses is actually going to come from another girl's idea (the dress is for her), so hers will have the same unique aspect to it.  Even so, if another dress is posted in the near future, mine will likely look awful in comparison. :(

Well, that's enough complaining for one day.  TIME TO HIT THINGS WITH A WRENCH!! (I'm an Engineer in TF2.  Does anyone else play?  What's your favourite class?)

<3 Always,
Argon (Damn straight.  I'm going back to using my old DA name.  I'm not embarrassed of my stuff from 5 years ago anymore.)
